Hedgie's Igloo

No one knows where the fascination with small words actually started.  Mono has always been a Couch/Winner's Choice topic, then AC adopted it as her ONE topic of choice when she won a round.  Slowly but surely the popularity spread and "The Caveman," our most popular event, was born.  We went on to play one night of Mono acro a month for fun and Hedgie took her place beside AC on the bandwagon.  Now, in Hedgie's Igloo the second Friday of every month at 8:30, you'll find a whole room of mono acro lovers.  No rankings are kept, it's just for fun.  Recaps of the games are posted at the Forum.

The links below can be found at the top and bottom of every Mono page.

Player submission: Schmaltzed and strengthed appear to be the longest monosyllabic words recorded in OED; but if squirrelled is pronounced as one syllable only (as permitted in SOED for squirrel), it is the longest. -Source: Wikipedia
